  The automatic leak testing machine for pipettes is designed to verify the airtightness of pipettes (glass or plastic, 0.1–50 mL). It integrates automatic feeding, sealing and pressurization, precision leak detection, and sorting of qualified/unqualified products. By replacing manual spot checks or water-immersion tests with a fully automated process, it ensures every pipette passes rigorous leak testing before leaving the factory, helping laboratory consumable manufacturers standardize and optimize their leak-testing operations.

  The equipment automates the entire workflow—including pipette feeding, nozzle sealing, inflation and pressure stabilization, pressure-drop testing, and sorting/unloading—without requiring manual intervention. It integrates seamlessly with upstream processes like plug insertion or screen printing, enabling an unmanned workflow where pipettes are tested immediately after feeding and packaged immediately after testing, thereby significantly reducing staffing requirements and labor intensity.

  Featuring a high-rigidity frame and high-precision differential pressure sensors, combined with a constant-temperature sealing chamber and a stable-pressure pneumatic system, the machine achieves a detection resolution of ±0.1 Pa and effectively eliminates interference from ambient temperature fluctuations. Key sealing components are made of wear-resistant silicone, maintaining airtightness even after tens of thousands of test cycles. The system supports 24/7 continuous operation with a false-rejection rate of less than 0.1%, ensuring consistent and objective leak-test results across product batches.

  Equipped with a PLC and industrial touchscreen, the system stores parameters for hundreds of pipette types (length, test pressure, pressure-holding time), allowing for rapid product changeovers with a single command. Built-in real-time pressure curve monitoring and self-learning compensation algorithms automatically adjust for minor batch-to-batch variations. Test results are recorded locally and support MES uploading; defective units are automatically identified and diverted to a separate bin, ensuring full traceability of the leak-testing process.

  The machine supports single-chamber or multi-chamber parallel testing (depending on pipette diameter and cycle time requirements). With a test cycle of just 3–5 seconds per pipette and a throughput of 60–120 units per minute, it is 10–15 times more efficient than manual water-immersion or offline spot checks. It eliminates water residue and the need for drying steps, enabling a single unit to easily process over 80,000 pipettes daily, thereby significantly boosting production capacity and optimizing floor space usage.
